Some have an
intoxication for money, wealth; others an intoxication for business;
others for dress; others for music; others for art; but as the
Lord’s people, who have gotten a glimpse of the new day, and the
great work of God which is to be accomplished in that day, our
hearts should be so absorbed in the work of God that these matters,
which would be thought proper enough and right enough in others,
worldly people—because they are not awake as we are, and because
they see not the future as we see it—should be far from our
conception and course. |
